Biography:There are no existing records of Gregar Zann's parents whatsoever. His birth and early childhood a mystery, this young man grew up in the filth of the Nar Shadaa Undercity. As a child he was picked up by the local criminal gangs and put to good use as beggar and pickpocket. During this time, he also endured extreme physical and mental abuse from those around him.
Miraculously, Gregar lived to become a teenager. During this period he was used for bigger heists. Despite suffering from starvation, dehydration and constant illness, Gregar managed to stay alive. His resilience was nothing short of extraordinary. As resilient as he was, he often got into fights with thugs and other children in the Undercity. Over the years, he picked up a lot of fighting tricks. These skills would be valuable as he was soon turned from thief to pit fighter. He proved himself as an excellent pit fighter over and over again, which eventually got him invited to a Pit Fighting Sector Tournament.
At the tournament he got his first taste of real power. With every match he won, the credits rewards increased. He never received the credits however. The gang took care of that for him. As he progressed through the tournament, and the monetary rewards got more significant, his anger and hatred increased every time he was robbed of his hard earned credits.
In the final round, Gregar was pitted against the biggest Gregar in the tournament, a one eyed mandalorian war veteran Gregard Randil Okeer. It was a fight to the death, and Gregar was the favored fighter. His success had given him the underdog status, and many placed bets on him reaching the top. The fight lasted longer than any other match so far, but through sheer will and determination, Gregar finally overcame the mandalorian. In a shower of applauds and cheers Gregar could once again see his rewards being reaped by someone else, as the thugs came to take him back to their hideout, with his price money.
As the thugs drew their blasters at Gregar he knew that he'd had enough. His body exploded with adrenaline as he let out a scream of rage, and rushed his overseers. In the heat of battle, Gregar managed to overcome quite a few of his opponents before they all cornered him with shock-sticks. Gregar refused to give up however, and in as he once again vented his anger by screaming loudly, his hands erupted with streaks of lightning. Gregar never knew what was going on, but he felt raw power flowing through him for a few seconds. And when he opened his eyes, all that remained were the charred bodies of those that had caused him so much pain. He felt a strong sense of satisfaction as he collected his rewards, and went out on his own.
Now a moderately rich individual, Gregar sought to leave Nar Shadaa for good. He navigated the cesspool that was the Undercity until he came upon a ship dealer. This is where he spent his entire credit reward on a fast, nimble ship and an experienced astro droid to go with it.
After leaving his childhood behind for good, Gregar ended up on Coruscant where he looked for a way to harness the power he had felt on Nar Shadaa. At first, he started doubting himself as time went by, and he wasn't becoming any wiser. Then his astromech droid, R9-T5 was stolen from the landing pad he now occupied. Furious at the loss of his only friend, Gregar searched high and low for clues as to where the droid had been taken. He later found the droid in the hands of a salvage dealer. The dealer was nervous at first, but then started lying about how he had acquired the droid. Once again, Gregar felt the rage build up inside him. Somehow he could sense that the salvage dealer was lying. Before the dealer could call for security, Gregar had fried him along with most of the electrical circuitry in the shop in a similar outburst. It was becoming clear to him that rage was the trigger to his powers.
Most of his R9-droids circuitry had been fried in the accident at the shop. To remedy this, Gregar sought out another salvage dealer that repaired the astromech droid for him. As Gregar was getting ready to leave Coruscant behind, he was approached by a mysterious hooded figure at the landing pad. The man told him that with his help, Gregar would soon be able to harness his mysterious powers and increase them even more.
